نسیم توسعه  به نقل از اقلیم زاگرس: دود غلیظی آسمان اهواز را احاطه کرده به طوری که از شرق تا غرب اهواز دود مشهود است.

این دود به رنگ سفید و با بویی همچون بوی سوختگی است و تاکنون نیز منشاء و علت آن مشخص نشده اما گمانه‌زنی‌ها از علت این اتفاق در پی آتش‌سوزی تالاب هورالعظیم خبر می‌دهد.

فرماندار هویزه درباره آتش‌سوزی تالاب هورالعظیم گفته است که آتش‌سوزی در بخش عراقی این تالاب که از ۱۲ تیرماه آغاز شده همچنان ادامه داشته و باعث آتش سوزی ۱۳ هزار هکتار در بخش عراقی و بین ۴۰۰ تا ۶۰۰ هکتار از بخش ایرانی تالاب در هویزه شده است.

محمد ثبوتی افزود: روز گذشته دود ناشی از این آتش‌سوزی شهرهای هویزه، سوسنگرد و رفیع و روستاهای اطراف آن ها را تحت تاثیر قرار داد به همین دلیل از کشور عراق خواستیم تا هر چه زودتر امکانات خود را برای کنترل و مهار این آتش‌سوزی بسیج کند.

وی همچنین از تشکیل ستاد بحران خبر داده و عنوان کرده است که اگر وزش باد از سمت غرب به شرق باشد برای ما مشکل خاصی به لحاظ پراکند شدن دود ناشی از حریق نداریم اما از شرق به غرب باشد دود غلیظی تمام شهرستان هویز، رفیع و بخشی از دشت آزادگان را فرا می‌گیرد.
